The Foot Soldiers

The Foot Soldiers is a creation by prolific producer, Grade One. His roots lay in Wales where he grew up but he then joined the armed forces where he earned his Grade One nickname. 

After leaving the military world he turned his attention to music and studied music production at Lewisham College, concentrating on Hip-Hop. He quickly made a name for himself working alongside the group Pressure Drop and remixing tracks for ex-BiG Audio Dynamite member Gary Stonadge and Groove Armada guitarist George Vjestica. The Foot Soldiers formed some six years ago but moved away from the Hip-Hop scene when Dubstep ignited a passion for the new and energetic genre. 

The Foot Soldiers music has its heart based on a passion for Dub Reggae, the influence of which can be heard in the Dubstep tracks that are cranked out from their south coast studios in the UK. 

This rising star has a big future in the Dubstep scene and the Foot Soldiers Sound System will be making its way around the clubs of the UK and US in the summer of 2008, as will a stream of releases from Seattle based label, Insectmind, who he signed to on an unprecedented 2 year deal.
